Find Templates and Documents directly in DAMview
You can now search for Templates and Documents directly from DAMview, making it faster to move from asset discovery to content creation without breaking your flow.
This update is designed to support discovery and navigation, not replace content creation tools. DAMview helps you find the right content, then seamlessly transitions you to Produce when it’s time to work.
What’s new
DAMview now includes two additional content types alongside assets:
- Templates
- Documents
These appear as tabs or dropdown filters (depending on your setup) and let you search, preview, and open content you already have access to.
DAMview allows users to discover approved and published content that is ready for distribution across the company. This includes assets, templates, and documents that users can access based on their permissions.
How to configure Templates and Documents in DAMview
Step 1: Open DAMview settings
Go to Point Navigate to Admin settings Open the relevant DAMview configuration
Step 2: Enable Templates and Documents
Within the DAMview settings, you can enable or disable the following content types:
- Templates
- Documents
These will appear as tabs options and in the search
Step 3: Configure filters
Admins can control which filters are available when searching templates and documents.
How users interact with Templates and Documents
Searching
Users can search for templates and documents directly from DAMview Only approved or distribution-ready content is shown Results respect Produce permissions per user
Previewing content
Selecting a template or document opens a Produce-powered preview Users can review content before opening it for editing
Opening content in Produce
Clicking the primary action opens the item in Produce Content opens in the same browser tab by default Right-click → Open in new tab is supported
