What types of approval projects are there?

Approval projects are grouped by the kind of material they handle. In Plan, the left sidebar shows a group for each type your organisation uses, with that type's projects underneath.

Place approvals

Use these for material you upload yourself, such as images and video. Open the project, choose Upload assets and pick your file.

The asset goes straight into the project with the status Pending review and waits for an approver.

Produce approvals

Use these for material built from Produce templates. There is no upload button in this kind of project, because the material comes from Produce. When a template is set up to use an approval project, the person who creates a document from it asks for the review in Produce, and it appears here.

Everything in the list carries its own status, so you can see what is still waiting and what has been approved.
