Introduction
We’re making review tracking more detailed by measuring time in days and hours instead of just days. Now, if a deadline is set in hours, the system will display a countdown in days, hours, and even minutes across the application.
Deadlines start counting from the exact moment an asset is submitted. For example, if the deadline is 12 hours and the asset is submitted at 10:18 AM, the deadline will be 10:18 PM the same day.
Since users work in different time zones, the system automatically adjusts to display times in the local time zone of each user. If an asset is submitted at 3:00 PM in Dubai, a user in Berlin will see it as 1:00 PM, reflecting the time difference.
Deadline Updates in Project Settings
Mandatory Fields Update
Users can now leave the deadline and country selection fields blank in project settings if they don’t need deadlines. They can still set a deadline date, but selecting a country remains optional. If no country is chosen, weekends won’t be included in the deadline calculation.
Deadline Configuration
To align with SLA (Service level agreement) requirements, we’re expanding deadline options. Previously, deadlines were set only in days (e.g., 1 day, 2 days). Now, users can set deadlines in both days and hours (e.g., 12 hours, 36 hours).
If a country is selected, the system excludes weekends and national holidays from the deadline count, ensuring deadlines reflect only working days. If no country is selected, weekends and holidays are ignored.
A new setting, Advanced deadline settings, is available at the project level. When enabled, additional deadline-related columns appear in project details.
Notifications
We’ll continue sending automatic notifications to reviewers 24 hours before the deadline and right after the deadline passes. If a deadline is shorter than 24 hours, the pre-deadline notification won’t be sent.
New Metrics in Project Overview
If the Advanced Deadline Overview setting is enabled, new columns appear in the project overview to help users assess reviewer efficiency:
Deadline Column
Deadline Date & Time – Fixed value showing the exact deadline.
Deadline Countdown – Displays a live countdown in days, hours, and minutes. After the deadline, it shows overdue time. Stops updating once the review is complete (Approved or Rejected).
First Contact Column
First Contact Time – Time when the reviewer first interacted with the asset (e.g., changed status, added a comment).
First Contact User – Name of the reviewer who made the first interaction.
Approval Time Column
Total Review Time – Measures the total time taken to approve or reject an asset, displayed in days, hours, and minutes.
Column Behavior
Time-related values update automatically with every page refresh.
Column Settings in Project Detail
We’re adding more columns to the project detail view, which might make it harder to see everything at once. To fix this, administrators can now decide which columns should be visible.
A new Column Settings icon in the table allows users to open a settings modal, where they can reorder or activate/deactivate columns. The Asset Name column remains fixed and cannot be hidden or reordered.
Once saved, column settings apply to all users working on the approval project. By default, all columns are visible, and their widths adjust automatically to fit the table layout.
