Understanding Navigation Across Papirfly
Papirfly uses a shared navigation system across products to make it easier to move between tools, manage your account, and find key functionality quickly.
This article explains:
- The global toolbar (always visible)
- How to switch between products
- The new in-product navigation experience
The Global Toolbar
The global toolbar is always visible at the top of the screen, no matter which product you’re using.
Product Switcher
Use the product switcher in the top-left corner to move between Papirfly products such as Place, Point, Produce, Plan, and Prove.
- Quickly switch without logging out
- Only products available to your account are shown
- Keeps context while working across multiple tools
Notifications, Store, and Account
On the right-hand side of the toolbar you’ll find:
- Notification Centre
Updates, alerts, and system notifications - Marketing Shop
Access to orderable materials (if enabled for your account) - Your Account Menu
Manage company settings, users, downloads, and personal preferences
This area also includes access to shared applications that are available across products.
In-Product Navigation (New Experience)
Each product now uses a clear, modern navigation layout designed for scalability and consistency across the platform.
Product Applications
Core applications now live in the left-hand navigation.
This creates a clearer mental model and allows applications to expand into full-screen experiences over time, rather than being limited to modal windows.
Product Specific Settings
Product and system settings have moved to the bottom-left corner, consistent with most modern SaaS platforms.
This separation helps:
- Reduce clutter in the main workspace
- Make admin and configuration actions easier to find
- Keep day-to-day work focused on content and tasks
Search Settings (Place)
In Place specifically:
- Search settings and search sharing now live directly in the search bar
- This makes configuration easier to discover and manage while searching
- Reduces the need to jump between settings screens
Why This Navigation Exists
This navigation structure is designed to:
- Create consistency across Papirfly products
- Reduce cognitive load when switching between tools
- Support future growth without reworking navigation again
- Improve performance and maintainability under the hood
