Template settings
Provide a name for the template. If none is provided the filename will be used.
Set the template type (this will initially take its value from the document intent).
Set the default locking for the template when initially imported into Produce. Check the box to lock all the Text Format configurations. Individual formatting items can be unlocked in the Produce "Edit Locking" environment.
Enable dynamic (flexible) layouts and allow content creators to define them in Produce.
Element manager
Select a page element (text frame, graphic/image frame or shape/path) and click on Element manager.
Text frame elements
Label: The label that will appear in the Produce layer panel
Default style: Specifies the base paragraph style for the text frame.
Annotation: Add an annotation to the element which will appear in Produce. If left blank, no annotation will be included.
Include decoration: Background color, border and rounded corners will be included as Text Decoration if this box is checked.
Decoration type: (new for v1.9) lines: Text decoration is applied individually to each line of text. measuredsize: Text decoration matches the width of the longest line of text bounds: Text decoration is applied to the width of the bounding textframe, no matter what the text width is.
Image frame elements
Label: The label that will appear in the Produce layer panel.
Place ID: Asset ID in Place for the graphic/image that will initially appear in the image frame.
Disable QR code margin: This is disabled for non-generated QR code frames
Annotation: Add an annotation to the element which will appear in Produce. If left blank, no annotation will be included.
Generated QR code frame elements
Label: The label that will appear in the Produce layer panel.
Place ID: This is disabled for generated QR codes.
Disable QR code margin: (new for v1.8) Remove the 4-module buffer zone around the QR code.
Annotation: Add an annotation to the element which will appear in Produce. If left blank, no annotation will be included.
Shape/path elements
Label: The label that will appear in the Produce layer panel.
Annotation: Add an annotation to the element which will appear in Produce. If left blank, no annotation will be included.
Group
An Indesign group can be marked up with the Element manager.
Each group has a group type associated with it. The group types are:
Proportional Group automatically resizes and repositions its children in proportion to the group's own size, maintaining their relative layout as the group is resized.
None Acts as a simple placeholder for its children, grouping elements together without applying any resizing or positioning logic.
Stack Arranges its children in a vertical stack, placing each element beneath the previous one, and automatically moves items below up or down if a child’s height changes. When imported into Produce, the Stack works from the top, but there is an option in Produce Editor to reverse this and stack from the bottom
Page manager
Page: Select the page on which the annotation will appear.
Annotation: Add an annotation to the page which will appear in Produce on the Page/Frame panel.
Font manager
Assign font files for Regular, Bold, Italic and Bold Italic styles for each font family. For every font family a Regular style must be assigned.
Export package
When mark-up is complete, export a Zip archive and upload to Produce.
