Introduction
Approval Project Duplication allows administrators to quickly create a new project based on an existing one. Instead of building workflows from scratch, you can reuse proven configurations, saving time and ensuring consistency across projects.
This feature is seamlessly integrated into the Approval Projects overview and supports efficient scaling of approval workflows across teams or local units.
How it works
Where to find it
Navigate to Approval Projects overview
Open the project’s context menu
Select “Duplicate”
Duplication flow
Select Duplicate project
System creates a new project:
In Draft state
Within the same area (e.g., same Local unit)
You are redirected to the new project configuration
Before activation, you can:
Rename the project
Adjust stages and rules
Modify workflow settings
Update reviewers and initiators
Project becomes active only after saving and activating
What is copied
Project name (with automatic suffix)
Approval stages and their order
Stage rules and conditions
Assigned approvers
Initiator settings and permissions
Project-level configuration
Place archives assignment
Produce templates assignment
Automatic assignment to Produce templates
What is NOT copied
Historical approvals
Active or completed approval instances
Comments and audit logs
Analytics and reporting data
