The October 2026 release of Peek introduces advanced search: every user can now choose which metadata fields to filter on, combine multiple filters and search from a list of values. Existing filters also get a new layout, new conditions and new field types, and the action bar in the media view has been simplified.
Who is it for? All DAM users (contributors and visitors) as well as administrators.
Three ways to filter your media
๐26/10/26
The new interface now offers three types of filters:
- Quick filters (new): status, item type and general labels, displayed directly below the search bar so you can filter in one click.
- Basic filters: the filter panel you already know, with the list of fields configured by your administrator. Quick filters and basic filters are linked: a value enabled in one is automatically enabled in the other.
- Advanced filters (new): a dedicated panel where you choose the fields you want to filter on.
Advanced search
๐26/10/26
Until now, the filters available in the new interface were limited to a fixed list defined by the administrator, and advanced search was only available in the legacy interface. With advanced search, you build your own search from any filterable field, so you can quickly find exactly the media you need.
Permissions: advanced search is available to all users, both contributors and visitors. No administrator rights are required.
Choose your fields
Open the advanced filters panel to browse all filterable fields, or search for a field by name.
Set conditions and values
All field types offer the conditions contains the values, is empty and is not empty.
Date fields also offer: today, last 7 days, last 30 days and custom period.
Search from a list of values
For short text fields, a toggle lets you paste a list of values directly (for example a list of product references). Pasted values are split automatically.
A maximum number of values applies: 10,000 values
Combine multiple filters
You can enable several filters at the same time: they are combined (media must match all filters). The same field can be added more than once.
Multilingual fields
If a field exists in several languages, you can choose the language to search in.
Apply filters
Advanced filters are applied by clicking the Apply filters button. This lets you set up several filters before running the search. Basic filters and quick filters, on the other hand, still apply instantly.
Find your filters in the search bar
Advanced filters are grouped under a single Advanced filter tag in the search bar. Removing this tag clears all advanced filters at once, without affecting basic filters or quick filters.
Remove and reset
- Each filter can be removed or reset individually.
- The Reset button clears all filter values in one click. The keyword entered in the search bar is kept.
Known limitations
- Searching by list of values is not yet available for dropdown list and thesaurus fields. It will be available by the end of 2026.
- Saved searches will be added in 2027
Basic filter improvements
๐26/10/26
Basic filters have been aligned with the new advanced search experience.
- New layout: the basic filters panel now uses the same layout as the advanced filters panel, with a Reset button in the same place and the option to reset each filter.
- New conditions for thesaurus fields: contains all of the following and contains none of the following. The default condition remains contains any of these values.
- New condition for dropdown lists: is not any of these values. The default condition remains is any of these values.
- New field types: short text and uploader fields can now be added to basic filters.
New action bar
๐26/10/26
In search results and collection views, media actions now only appear once at least one media item is selected. This gives you a cleaner view while browsing your media.
The action bar layout has also been adapted for mobile.
