Papirfly takes GDPR seriously. It is important to us that individuals keep their ‘right to erasure’. Because of this, we have our own GDPR function within Place that allows individuals to control if they want images of themselves uploaded or not.
While originally designed for managing consent in "photo sessions," the GDPR Manager can be applied far beyond this use case. It’s not just a tool for meeting GDPR requirements—it’s a powerful solution for gathering and managing consent for any type of content.
Here are just a few examples of how the GDPR Manager can be used.
- Transcripts or audio files of interviews, podcast episodes, or webinars
- PDF articles or documents that include quotes from individuals
- Social media videos featuring external participants or event attendees
- Promotional content with employee testimonials or customer stories
- Training materials with images or footage of employees or clients
- Recorded meetings or conferences where consent is needed to distribute materials
The GDPR Manager ensures that assets with identifiable people are only available if the asset has been granted consent by the person in the asset. If the asset is not consented to, the asset will not be available in Place.
The tool can be found in the cog-wheel area in Place as long as it has been enabled:
- Click the cogwheel to expand this menu
- Click on the option GDPR manager in the drop-down menu. This opens the GDPR Manager administration tool
