Starting a new campaign
In Campaign projects, the Campaign Planner in Papirfly Plan, every campaign starts from a template. A central campaign sits under Central hierarchy. A local campaign belongs to a unit, such as a country or a city, and sits under that unit in Local hierarchy.
How do I create a central campaign?
- Select Create in the top right corner of Campaign projects.
- Pick a template from the list. Templates are grouped under Central and Local.
- Type a name for the campaign.
- Under Time span, select the start date field, then click the start date and the end date in the calendar.
- Check Hierarchy (your portal may use a different name for this field). A top-level campaign shows Root (top level), which cannot be changed.
- Fill in the other fields you need. Required fields are marked with a red asterisk.
- Select Create item.
The campaign opens with a Changes saved message, and it shows in the timeline on its dates.
How do I create a campaign under another campaign?
Some templates create a campaign that sits under a parent campaign, for example an activity inside a larger campaign. When you create it, open the Hierarchy list and choose the parent campaign. If only one parent is possible, the field is already filled in and locked.
How do I create a local campaign?
- Select Create and pick a template under Local.
- Type a name for the campaign. A Local badge shows next to it.
- Under Local owner, select Select owner.
- In Select local owner, pick a unit from the list or search for a user.
- Select the owner, then select Save.
- Set the Time span and the Hierarchy, then select Create item.
The campaign shows in Local hierarchy, under the owner's unit.
