On this page
When a template is out of date, you can archive it or delete it. Archiving hides the template but keeps it, so you can bring it back later. Deleting removes it for good after a period. If you are not sure you will never need the template again, archive it.
You need admin access to the template. Users with Read or Edit access don't see these options.
Archive a template
- In Produce, select Templates in the menu on the left and click the template.
- In the panel on the right, click the three dots and choose Archive.
- Click Archive template to confirm.
The template disappears from the Templates page. Nobody can create new documents from it while it is archived.
Find and restore an archived template
- On the Templates page, click All filters.
- Under State, choose Archived and click Apply filters.
- Click the template, then click the three dots and choose Restore.
- Choose Restore template and documents to also bring back the documents that were archived with it, or Restore Template to restore only the template.
Delete a template
- Click the template, then click the three dots and choose Delete.
- Click Delete template to confirm. If you change your mind, click Archive template instead.
Deleted templates are permanently deleted automatically after a set period. Until then, you can see them by choosing Deleted under State in All filters.
Archive or delete several templates at once
Tick the templates on the Templates page, click Bulk actions and choose Archive selected or Delete selected.
