You can decide which text styles and which formatting options, such as bold or lists, content creators can use in a text element. This keeps documents in line with your brand.
You need admin access to the template, and the template must support locking.
Lock text formatting
- In Produce, open the template's Settings, go to Design and click Customize.
- In the editor, click Edit locking in the menu on the right and choose Edit locking. See Locking elements and controls in a Produce template.
- Click the lock icon of the text element, then click Configure text format locking.
- Each text style has its own box. Click the lock in a box header to set whether users can use that style. Click the locks inside a box to set which formatting users can use with that style. Red means locked.
- Click OK.
Locked options are no longer shown to content creators for that style. In the example above, content creators can't make Topline text bold, but they can still use bold in Headline.
To check, choose Edit locking > Edit as content creator and click the text. Click Save when you are done.
