Introduction
The Automation module sets up automatic actions between campaign elements. You define triggers and actions; when a trigger occurs, the corresponding action is executed. This automates processes within Plan Campaigns.
Creating a new automation
To create a new automation, first ensure that you have sufficient access rights to do so. Follow these steps:
- Click on the cogwheel in the left hand sidebar, follow by Automations under Application settings.
- Click + Create new automation and you will be redirected to the automation settings page
-
- Basics: On the basics settings, enter the following information:
- Automation name: Enter the name of the automation
- Template: Enter the template in which the automation should apply to
- Sort order: Enter the list position of the automation. The lower the number, the higher on the list the automation will show
- Triggers: On the triggers settings, add either a group of conditions or specific conditions that will trigger to automation.
- What this means is that if one of the added conditions are met inside the campaign (for example if a button is checked or a specific number is added), the automation will be triggered.
- Interface changes: On the interface changes settings, adjust whether certain elements within the campaign should be shown/hidden when the automation is triggered (activated).
- Value changes: On the value changes setting, decide if any of the data inside any existing fields of the campaign should change as soon as the automation is triggered.
- As soon as you have adjusted all of the settings within the automation, click Save in the upper right corner to save the automation.
- You have now created a new automation
Adding an automation to a template

- You have now added an automation to a template
