Introduction
The Review countdown reset feature ensures fairness and clarity in approval workflows. When enabled by an admin, the review timer restarts every time a new version of a file is submitted. This gives reviewers the full allocated review window (e.g., 48 hours) for every version, instead of being restricted by the original deadline.
This feature also introduces clearer reporting and notifications, so everyone stays aligned:
Each version shows how long it was under review.
Deadlines reset with each new submission.
Usage description
Admins configure the setting
In Approval workflow settings, admins can enable the option: “Restart approval countdown with new version.”
Admins can enable review countdown reset per each approval workflow
When enabled
Submitting a new version restarts the countdown (e.g., a new 48-hour review period).
Reviewers are notified of the new version
The previous version’s deadline and review time are still tracked in reporting.
When disabled (default)
Deadlines continue from the original submission, even if new versions are uploaded.
Things to know
Applies to both Central and Local projects.
Review times are shown per version (and per reviewer if multiple reviewers are assigned).
Existing submissions are not affected when the setting is enabled or disabled — the change only applies to new versions going forward.
If a deadline was already missed for a previous version, it is still recorded, but the new version starts with a fresh countdown.

An overview of the approved versions is available in the review detail
A detailed overview of the specific version is also available
