Your brand guidelines are only as useful as they are findable. Brand Assistant is an AI-powered chat interface built into Point that gives you instant answers to brand and content questions stored on Point — without navigating a single page.
What can you ask?
You can ask Brand Assistant about anything published in your brand guidelines, or the content stored in your Point Portal. For example:
- "What is our primary brand colour?"
- "When can I use the secondary logo?"
- "What font should I use for headlines?"
- "Show me our logo."
- "Where do I find social media templates?"
- "What is our latest campaign?"
Brand Assistant only knows what is published in your portals. If something isn't covered, it will tell you rather than guess.
How to use it
- Click the assistant icon in the bottom corner of your Point portal.
- Type your question in plain language.
- Read the answer — every response includes a link to the source page so you can verify it.
- Click the source link to go directly to the relevant section of your guidelines.
- For follow-up questions, just keep typing — the assistant remembers your conversation.
Source links
Every answer includes a link to the page it used to generate the response. If an answer looks wrong, check the source page and use the thumbs down button to flag it.
When it can't answer
If Brand Assistant can't find relevant content, it will say so and point you to where you can get help. Common reasons include:
- The information exists as an image or diagram, not as text
- Your guidelines don't cover that topic yet
- You're asking about something outside of brand guidelines
What you can and can't see
Brand Assistant respects the same access permissions as the rest of Point. It will only ever surface content you are authorized to view.
Tips for better results
- Be specific. "What are the CMYK values for our primary blue?" gets a better answer than "colors".
- Use the language your guidelines use. If your brand calls something a "wordmark", use that term.
- If you don't get the answer you need, try rephrasing.
- Follow-up questions don't need to repeat context — the assistant remembers your session.
Frequently asked questions
Can I ask in my own language? The current version works in English. Support for additional languages is planned for a future release.
Will my questions be used to train AI models? No. Your data and your brand guidelines content are not used to train any AI model.
The answer looks wrong. What should I do? Click the source link to check the original guideline. If the content is genuinely wrong or missing, let your brand manager know and use the thumbs down button to flag the response.
The assistant is giving outdated answers. Why? Your brand team may have updated the guidelines without re-syncing the assistant. Let your administrator know and they can fix it.
