Material goes into an approval project by uploading it. This article shows how, and what happens to the asset afterwards.
Upload the asset
- Open Plan and go to Approval projects.
- In the left panel, open the project the material belongs to.
- Click Upload assets in the top right corner.
The uploader opens with the project's Place archive already chosen, so the asset lands in the right place.
- Drag your files onto the window, or click Upload and pick them.
- Wait for every file to show Completed.
- Fill in the details on the right. You can do this for one file at a time or for all of them at once.
- Click Complete upload.
Accepted file types are listed at the top of the uploader: jpg, jpeg, png, tif, tiff, pdf, ppt, pptx, doc, docx, ai, mp4, avi, webm, mpeg, mpg, mov, wmv, mkv, m4v, mts, vob, flv, svg, xls and xlsx.
If a file is already in the archive, the uploader marks it as a duplicate and offers to resolve it before you continue.
What happens next
The asset appears in the project with the status Pending review, waiting for an approver. The list may take a few seconds to show it.
If the project has a response time set, the asset also gets a deadline, shown in the Deadline column with the time left beneath it.
