How do I delete an approval project in Plan?

Delete a project

Deleting a project removes it from Plan for good. Assets that have already been approved or rejected stay in Place.

1. Open Plan and go to Approval projects.
2. In the sidebar, find the project you want to delete.
3. Point at the project and click the three dots beside its name.
4. Choose Delete project, then confirm with Delete.

The project disappears from the sidebar and its reviews are no longer listed in Plan. The assets themselves stay in Place.

The three dots appear only for accounts that can manage projects.

If the project cannot be deleted

Plan protects reviews that are still running. A project cannot be deleted while any of its material is Pending review or Needs change.

The menu option stays available, so you find out once you confirm. A message tells you how many assets are holding the project back and which status they are in.

To carry on, clear those assets:

• Approve or reject each one, or
• Delete the ones you no longer need. Deleting an asset removes it from Plan and from Place, and cannot be undone.

Assets that are already Approved or Rejected never hold a project back.

Archive the project instead

If you might need the project again, archive it rather than deleting it. Archiving keeps the project and everything in it, and it works even while assets are still under review.

Choose Archive project from the same menu.

To find it again, click the three dots next to Place approvals or Produce approvals, and under Show projects choose Archived. From there you can restore the project.
