Introduction
This feature empowers template administrators to lock specific text formatting settings, ensuring consistent design and adherence to brand guidelines. It addresses issues like inconsistent branding and limited administrative control while benefiting admins, marketing teams, and end-users by promoting clarity, uniformity, and streamlined workflows.
Requirements
- You need Produce as part of your license to access this feature
- Your user needs to have sufficient access rights to manage this feature
Using the feature
Example:
To lock text formatting, follow these steps:
- Go to Produce

Open a template for editing
- These settings can be accessed in both edit mode for templates and documents
- Click on the lock in the upper right corner while editing
- This lock only appears if your user has sufficient access rights
- Select Edit locking from the drop-down box and a new window with green and red locks will appear, depending on what has been locked previously
- Set the different formatting options to the option you would like to use as default, then click on the lock to make it red, locking down the formatting
- You can also select to only have certain formatting available:
- When done, the changes made should have been saved automatically. However, we do recommend that you check by opening a template afterwards
