Introduction
Produce Video Approvals enables structured review and approval workflows for video content created in Produce, using the same approval capabilities already available for graphics and print documents in Plan.
It allows teams to:
Collect feedback collaboratively
Annotate directly on video timelines
Review multilingual subtitles
Track approval status and history across the content lifecycle
Integrated reporting through Prove ensures full visibility of video review activity.
How It works
Submitting a video for Approval
Preconditions:
Template must have Advanced workflow enabled
Template must be linked to a Plan Approval project
Steps:
Create and save your video in Produce Editor.
In Produce Launcher, export your video → an
.mp4file is generated.Send the exported video to Plan Approvals.
The video status changes to Pending Review.
💡Tip: You can track approval status updates directly inside Produce.

Reviewing a video in Plan
Once sent, reviewers can:
Watch the video using the built-in player with timeline scrubber
Add time-stamped comments and XY annotations
Toggle and review subtitles in multiple languages
Change status to Need changes, Approved, or Rejected
Produce video being reviewed in Plan Approvals
Handling Changes & Versions
If a video is marked Need changes:
The creator reopens it in Produce Editor (via Plan or Launcher link).
Edits are saved → creating a new version (overwriting the original).
Reviewers can see and compare all historical versions in Plan Approvals.
Subtitles
Subtitles are created in Produce Editor.
During review, subtitles appear as overlays in Plan’s video player.
Reviewers can toggle languages and comment on each version.
Comments are stored per language to help track changes clearly.
