If you need a new approval project set up like one you already have, copy the existing project instead of building it again.
Duplicate a project
- Open Plan and go to Approval projects.
- In the left panel, point at the project you want to copy and click the three dots beside its name.
- Choose Duplicate project.
Plan suggests a name with - Copy on the end. Change it to whatever you need, then click Confirm.
The copy is created in the same group as the original and opens straight away. There is no draft step and nothing to activate.
What the copy keeps
The copy carries the original's setup: deadline settings and response time, the workflow settings, the Place archive it works with, and the collaborators, including approvers and how the review runs.
Material is not copied. The new project opens empty, with no reviews in it, so the original's approvals, comments and history stay where they are.
You can change anything in the copy from the same project menu, under Edit project and Choose collaborators. See Creating an approval project in Plan for what each setting does.
