June 2026 - Place Release

This release gives DAM administrators significantly more control over large asset libraries, and streamlines the download experience for all users.

Asset Settings Filters & Bulk Editing

You can now filter your asset library by any asset setting and apply changes across multiple assets in a single action — making it much faster to audit, govern, and update your DAM at scale.

What's new:

• Filter assets by Request to Download, External Sharing, Asset Variants, and Direct Links
• Select filtered results and apply setting changes across multiple assets in one action
• Bulk edit up to 2,000 assets at a time
• Mixed starting states are handled automatically — changes apply where relevant and skip where not, with no errors raised
• A new multi-asset gallery view makes it immediately clear when you're in bulk edit mode, reducing the risk of unintended single-asset changes
• Preview or remove individual assets from your selection before applying any changes

Asset Version Comparison

You can now visually compare any two versions of an asset directly within Place, making it much easier to review changes, spot differences, and feel confident before approving or publishing.

What's new:

• Compare any version against any other version — not just the current one
• Three comparison modes: horizontal, vertical, and a slider view
• Applies across asset types including documents, PDFs, videos, and images

Download Improvements

We've made the download experience faster and more consistent, with fewer steps and more reliable file naming across all file types.

What's new:

• Custom download file naming — configured in your site admin — now applies consistently to all file types, including cropped and transcoded files
• If a named field is missing from an asset, that field is skipped cleanly rather than producing a malformed filename
• Transcoding options are now visible directly in the download modal, so you no longer need to click through an additional step to access them
• The download flow automatically skips any step where no selection is required, reducing unnecessary clicks
