This release focuses on improving the configuration of how documents can be shared, and more control to template admins of which vendors that may be used.
Configuration of Download & Share options
This new configuration allows the admins to control the options available to their end users, to for example:
prevent end users from downloading an asset/document and print them locally, as some customers want their users to always use the print process that we provide in the system.
prevent end users from emailing a print document, while still having the option to be able to email e.g. a graphic document.
How it Works
There is a new menu option introduced inside the Produce Settings, named “Sharing”. (Note that the menu looks different depending on user role, ‘Produce Admins’ can see all these options while 'Produce Template Admins' only see Vendors, Sharing and Fonts).
When selecting “Sharing” in the menu, the options to enable/disable different sharing, download and send options are shown and the checkbox is used to select them.
When a certain setting is enabled, it is also possible to select which Document types (Graphic, Print, Banner, Video, Email) that should be using that particular option. That means that in this example “Download” is enabled for “Graphic” which will allow the end users to download all documents created from a “Graphic template”.
These settings are used to control the options on a global level. It is also then possible to override these settings, if the Produce template admin would want to allow their end users to download Print documents but only created from a particular template. That is controlled on the template level settings:
In this example the template settings dialog is opened for a Template of type “Print” (which does not have the Download option enabled in the main settings above). It is possible to via the drop down highlighted set this to “Allow” instead to override the global setting.
Carousel posts on LinkedIn
This change enables a user to create a carousel post of a multi-page document. Linkedin requires a PDF to make a swipe carousel, therefore this option is only available if the user has a Print document in our platform. If a customer want to be able to post a graphic document to LinkedIn as a carousel, we first need to create a print stencil out of the graphic one.
The workflow is the same as with other LinkedIn posting, with the addition that the multi page print document now generates a carousel post which the user can click through to view the next page.
Support to add multi CC-adresses in Vendor setup
It is now possible to add more than one address as “CC” of the order email, via separating them with comma or semicolon:
Limit Vendors to specific Business Units
In the Vendor setup dialog of Produce settings, it is now possible to specify which Business Units that can use a Vendor by this setting:
This setting is available to Produce Admin and Produce Template Admin users, and not restricted based on the Business Units they are belonging to as users.
Template Archive date
🧿 Aim of Feature
To ensure Templates aren’t possible to use after a certain date. This helps the admins to ensure that no outdated material is being created.
How it Works
This new setting is found in the Template settings, and allows the template admin to enter a date for when the Template should be archived. The background job is run during the night, and all templates that have a passed Archive date are then set to ‘Archived’ (with their belonging Documents):
