Produce allows users to create branded video content using images, video clips, and audio files stored in Place.
Video Stencils define the design, layout, and functionality of Video Templates, which users can then use to create their own Video Documents.
What assets can I use in video templates?
Depending on the configuration, users can select the following asset types from Place:
- Images: JPG, PNG, and other supported image formats.
- Videos: Video clips such as MP4 and MOV.
- Audio: Audio files such as MP3.
Animated GIFs are not supported as video animations.
Note: Asset availability may vary between templates depending on the settings configured by an administrator. Templates can be restricted to specific Place archives or categories.
Does Produce include stock video footage?
Produce does not include a built-in library of stock footage (also known as B-roll). If you need additional footage, you can download videos from external stock media websites and upload them to Place.
Some useful resources include:
Tip: Always check the licensing terms before using downloaded footage, particularly for commercial purposes.
What are the recommended file formats and settings?
For the best results when creating videos in Produce, we recommend using the following settings:
Images
JPG and PNG images are supported.
For optimal quality, images should match or exceed the resolution of your intended video output to avoid stretching or pixelation.
Audio
| Setting | Recommended |
|---|---|
| File format | MP3 |
| Bitrate | 128 kbps or higher |
| Sample rate | 44.1 kHz |
| Bit depth | 16-bit |
| Channels | Joint stereo |
Video
| Setting | Recommended |
|---|---|
| File format | MP4 or MOV |
| Resolution | 1920 × 1080 (landscape) or 1080 × 1920 (portrait) |
| Frame rate | Constant 25 fps |
| Audio encoding | AAC at 320 kbps |
Note: For the best quality, source footage should match or exceed the resolution of your intended output.
How long can uploaded video clips be?
Video clips can be trimmed within Produce, allowing users to select specific start and end points.
For the best performance, we recommend:
- Recommended length: Up to 15 minutes per clip.
- Maximum length: 60 minutes per clip.
Shorter video clips generally improve performance in the Editor and help reduce the time needed to generate the final video.
Can I use videos recorded on my mobile phone?
Yes, videos recorded on mobile phones can be uploaded to Place and used in Produce.
However, some phones record using a variable frame rate, which can occasionally cause synchronization issues between audio and video.
For the best results, we recommend recording with a constant frame rate of 25 fps, where supported.
Can I edit or enhance video footage in Produce?
Produce allows users to select and trim video clips within their templates. However, it is not designed for advanced video editing or enhancement.
The following features are not currently supported:
- Brightness, contrast, and color adjustments
- Visual filters and tint effects
- Playback speed adjustments
- Frame interpolation (adding frames)
- Video transparency (alpha channels)
- Background removal, including green screen effects
If your footage requires these adjustments, we recommend editing it in dedicated video editing software before uploading it to Place.
