An animated banner built in Produce goes for approval without leaving Produce. The template is wired to a Plan approval project and the banner is sent from there.
The setup and the send
The full steps are in Getting Produce material into an approval project. In short:
- In the banner template's Settings, on the Workflows tab, choose Advanced and select the Plan approval project.
- Create the banner from the template and save it. It starts at In progress.
- Select it in Documents, open Approval, click Generate assets, then Request review.
Banners are usually built as a set of sizes from one template. Generate the assets before requesting review, because the review is of what was generated.
Getting it approved
The approver opens the banner from the project, comments on it, and uses the status control to approve, reject or send it back. At least one comment is needed before asking for changes or rejecting.
- Commenting and pinning feedback on material under review
- Approving and rejecting material in an approval project
- Fixing material an approver has sent back
Where an approved banner ends up
The approver sets the status in Plan. What follows is the document in Produce reaching Ready, which is the status that releases the final assets for download. Ready is a Produce document status, not something the approver picks from the status control.
