Crop dimensions define the standard image sizes available across your Place instance. They are configured once in Global Place Settings and apply to all archives — meaning any crop you create is available everywhere in Place.
Crops are used when downloading or exporting images in a specific size, and are the foundation for Image Variants. If your organisation uses Image Variants, your crop dimensions form the building blocks for the variant outputs you define.
Who can use it?
The Global Archive permission is required to create and manage crop dimensions in Global Place Settings.
Setting up crop dimensions
- Navigate to Global Place Settings
- Open Crop Dimensions
- Select Add new crop
- Enter a width and/or height in pixels and give it a name
- Save
The crop is now available across your entire Place instance.
You can create as many crops as your organisation needs. Existing crops can be edited or deleted from the same settings area at any time.
