Point
This release brings improvements to consent form configuration, asset management, and download workflows — giving admins more control and a more consistent experience across the platform.
GDPR Selfie — Mandatory Option
You now have greater control over how the selfie step works on consent forms. Previously, the selfie was either off or optionally on — now you can set it as a requirement, so forms can't be submitted without it.
What's new:
- Three selfie settings are now available per consent form: Off, On (optional), and On (mandatory)
- When set to mandatory, the selfie step must be completed before the form can be submitted
- Admins can update this setting per consent form — no changes are needed where the existing behaviour is preferred
Why it matters: For teams that rely on selfies for subject verification or asset tagging, this ensures the selfie is always captured — rather than left to the discretion of the person filling in the form.
View Original Asset in Point Components
Admins can now access the original DAM asset directly from any component in the Point page builder, not just asset collection components. This makes it easier to check consent status, expiry dates, or asset details without leaving what you're working on.
What's new:
- A "view original" option now appears on any component where the asset was sourced from the DAM
- Clicking it opens the asset detail view directly from within the component
- Available consistently across all component types, not just asset collections
Important notes: This only works for assets sourced from the DAM — assets uploaded directly into a component are not linked to a DAM record and won't show the option. Due to a change in how asset data is stored, the view original option is available for assets added to components within the last 18 months. Assets added before that window will not show the option, but all assets added from this release forward will be fully supported.
Transcode Selection on Bulk Download
When downloading multiple assets from Point's search view, you can now select a transcode rather than being limited to downloading originals as a zip file — bringing the experience in line with how bulk downloads work in Place.
What's new:
- Transcode selection is now available when bulk downloading from Point search view
- Download behavior is now consistent between Place and Point
Important notes: Transcode selection on bulk download is only available when all selected files are the same file type.

Asset Variants — History Log Tracking
Download and get link activity on asset variants is now captured in the history log, giving admins a complete audit trail across all versions of an asset.
What's new:
- Download and get link events on asset variants now appear in the history log automatically
- Activity is tracked in the same format as events on original assets
- No additional configuration is required
Masonry Grid — Restored
The masonry grid view is back in Place. It was temporarily removed to address some display issues, which have now been resolved. No configuration changes are needed — it's available again via the standard view toggle, and behaves exactly as it did before.
