Place & Point
Improved Page Permissions (Editor Access)
We’ve updated how Editor permissions work in Point to give teams more flexibility and reduce accidental edits.
What’s improved
Admins can now grant Editor access to a specific child page Users no longer need edit rights to all parent pages Users only need view access to parent pages for navigation This works similarly to folder permissions in Place for consistency
Why this matters
Teams can now delegate ownership of individual brand, product, or market pages without over-granting access or risking edits in unrelated areas.
Enhanced Sound File Display
We’ve improved how sound assets appear in Point based on customer feedback.
What’s new
Sound files can now display as waveforms instead of a static icon This provides clearer, more modern visualisation for audio assets
Where it appears
Displayed in Asset Collections DAMview and Asset Detail will continue using the classic speaker icon until the new Place Asset Detail rolls out in January.
Produce
Copy HTML
Users may need the markup from an email template for various reasons, such as pasting it into a third-party email tool, CRM system, or candidate management platform. However, extracting the markup from a downloaded HTML file can be unintuitive for non-technical users. We have therefore now introduced a new function that allows users to open a dialog containing all the Email document HTML, with a straightforward way of copying it:
Duplicate vendor
Some companies have multiple vendors to send their prints to, and there can be many shared settings between them for example the custom fields that have been added to the form for ordering a print. To reduce the repetitive work and time spent on setup of vendors, we have now added a "Duplicate" function that simply creates a copy of the selected vendor which may be adjusted to support sending to another vendor.
The new button is found by Produce admin users, in the Vendor settings page underneath the Actions context menu:
Download & Share improvements
As part of our continuous work to improve the user experience and ease of use in our product, we have with this release focused on the Download and Share workflows. This was selected as a focus area due to a lot of feedback from customers that found that there previously were too many unnecessary clicks to get to the outcome they wanted to achieve.
The “Download all” button at the bottom of the detail view does still Download all the assets in a zip file.
All the available File types (PNG, JPEG, WEBP, etc.) of the asset are now also found right away in the Assets tab, if the user wants to download a specific version. The icons are also changed in to a more modern look:
We have removed the pre-step of selecting “Social media” as an option when clicking on Share for a graphic document, now the user instead sees all the available options (depending on customer configuration) right away:
InDesign V6
Data Variables
With this release we have enabled a whole new way of automating the templating creation, by adding the possibility of connecting certain elements (e.g. texts & images) to populate their content based on data connected to so called variables and their attributes. This will be available to add as a feature to our Flexible stencils, and is available by default for all InDesign imported templates.
For a template creator, this means that he/she can select an element to fetch for example an image from the Unit Manager, or name of a photographer from the asset metadata. The sources we currently support are Unit Manager, Asset Metadata, Datasets and User Profile data. The latter can be used for example when creating business card documents, where the information of the current logged in user is automatically displaying on the document - for example first- and last name, email and phone number.
Flexible Font sizes
We have significantly changed how Template Designers restrict the available font sizes for Content Creators within a Text element. Previously, our user interface displayed a long list of font sizes, requiring designers to manually toggle each size individually. This process was often tedious and cumbersome.
To simplify this, we have replaced the list with three intuitive fields: Min, Max, and Steps (or Increment).

Plan
Off-site reviews
The Off-site reviews download feature introduces a new optional project-level setting within Plan Approvals that allows reviewers to download the original version of submitted materials for quality evaluation. This enhancement solves a long-standing limitation where certain file types - such as Excel sheets, or PowerPoint decks with embedded media - could not be reliably previewed within the platform. By enabling access to the original file, reviewers can ensure a more complete and accurate assessment of materials that require viewing in their native applications.
This release expands our product portfolio by strengthening the review stage of the approval workflow and providing greater flexibility for handling complex or non-renderable file types. It equips reviewers with a more reliable verification method and aligns with our broader strategy to provide an enterprise-grade, end-to-end approval solution that balances usability with compliance.
