April 2026 - Place Release

This release introduces two new features for administrators managing images across channels.

Crop Dimensions

Crop dimensions have moved to Global Place Settings, where they now sit alongside Image Variants.

What's new:

• Crop dimensions are now managed in Global Place Settings and apply across all archives
• Existing crops are unaffected — this is a location change only
• You will need the "Global Place Settings" permission to be able to manage this. Reach out to your CSM to enable this

Image Variants

You can now define a set of named image outputs in Place, giving your team the right version of every image — ready to download or use on websites and in integrations — without manual resizing or exporting.

What's new:

• Create named variants with defined dimensions, file format, and crop behaviour in Global Place Settings
• Users can download a variant or copy a link for use on a website or integrated system directly from the Download tab
• Links are served dynamically, so any system referencing them always receives the correct image automatically
• Set a focal point per asset to control how crops are applied across all variants
