This release puts AI tagging and face recognition under your control. Long-running tasks are also easier to follow.
Run AI analysis on demand
You can now run AI tagging and face recognition yourself on one asset, on a selection, or on your whole archive. Assets uploaded before AI analysis existed can become searchable without being uploaded again.
What's new:
- Run analysis and Run face recognition are in the More menu in the asset detail, for one asset or for your whole selection
- Place settings > AI tools has a Rescan archive option for AI tags and for face recognition
- Each rescan explains what it will do and asks you to confirm before it starts
- Progress shows in the new Background tasks panel
- After an archive rescan, the option locks for seven days and shows when you can scan again
Important notes:
- Rescanning the archive for face recognition replaces the face detections already in that archive

Background tasks
Long-running tasks now report to one Background tasks panel, so you can keep working while they run. This covers zip downloads, file regeneration and AI analysis.
What's new:
- The panel opens automatically when a task starts and shows live progress
- You can minimize the panel and keep working. It reopens when your last task finishes.
- Tasks that need attention, such as failed tasks, are listed first
- For tasks that cover several assets, a detail view shows which assets failed
- Try again re-runs only the assets that failed
- You can download finished zip files directly from the panel

Improved predefined crops
Predefined crop sizes now work the way you would expect. Previously a preset could select only a small area in the middle of a large image. The preset now sets the output size, and the crop area covers as much of the image as it can.
What's new:
- The crop area starts as the largest region of the preset's shape that fits the image, centered on the asset's focus point
- You can move and resize the crop area freely, and the preset's proportions are kept
- When you move the crop area, a hint appears with a one-click reset
- A customized crop saved as a new variant keeps its original predefined size
- You can customize and download TIF and PSD files again

Point
This release lets the Brand Assistant answer from your own brand documents and pages. It also adds an AI usage filter to search.
Brand Assistant: answers from your own documents
Super administrators can now add documents to the Brand Assistant's knowledge base. The Assistant can then answer questions using guidelines, terminology, process documentation and other material that lives outside Point.
What's new:
- A Sources panel on the Brand Assistant tab of the brand book's super-admin settings lists each document with its status
- Supported formats are PDF, Word, Excel, CSV, text, Markdown and HTML
- A document is used in answers once its status shows as indexed
- Answers name the document they draw from
Important notes:
- Uploaded documents are available to every Brand Assistant user, in every language. You cannot restrict a document to specific user groups, so only add documents that everyone with access can see.
- The maximum file size is 10 MB
- To update a document, delete it and upload the new version

Brand Assistant: assets with guidance from your pages
When you ask for assets such as logos, the Brand Assistant now returns them with the guidance from the Point page where they appear. Previously it returned either the page or the assets, but not both together.
What's new:
- If a Point page shows assets in an asset collection, the Assistant returns those assets with that page's guidance above them
- If no page matches, the Assistant suggests the closest assets
- If a request is unclear, the Assistant asks a clarifying question
- Assets without a preview show a file-type icon
Important notes: The Assistant only returns assets that can be downloaded or clicked.

Filter search by AI usage
You can now filter search results by whether AI was used to create or edit an asset.
What's new:
- An AI usage filter in the search view, with the options AI generated, AI modified, No AI used and Unknown
- Each option shows the number of matching assets
- AI-powered filters, such as face recognition, now show an AI badge
Important notes: The filter only appears once at least one asset in your results has an AI usage status.
