This release gives administrators more control over how they set up Place and Point, and gives teams new ways to find and understand their assets.
Place
Search similar
You can now search your archive with an image, or start from an asset you’ve already found, and see the assets that look most like it. This helps when no file name or tag describes what you’re looking for.
What’s new:
- Search with an image using the camera icon in the search bar (PNG, JPG, GIF or WEBP, up to 10 MB)
- Choose Search similar from the menu on any image asset in grid or list view
- Start a new search from any card in the Similar assets tab of the asset detail
- Similar assets are now matched on how images look, not on shared tags
- Search similar is also available in asset pickers

Archive schemas and metadata sections
Administrators can now manage archive schemas directly in Place settings and group metadata fields into sections. This makes long forms easier to fill in, and routine changes no longer need a request to us.
What’s new:
- Manage schemas in Place settings: create, duplicate and rename schemas, and search for fields by name
- Group fields into named sections, and reorder them by dragging or with the keyboard
- The asset detail, the new Information tab and the uploader show fields in their sections
Descriptions for asset variants and crops
Administrators can now add a short description to asset variants and crop presets, so your team knows which format to use without guessing from the name.
What’s new:
- Add an optional description of up to 120 characters, with translations
- Descriptions appear when you choose a variant from the Download tab, a crop preset in Customize asset, or a format in the Place plugin
- Variants and crops without a description look the same as before
